THE owners of the Gailes Hotel in Irvine have been busy investing in a new restaurant, spa, gym and even a new outdoor wedding bandstand to prepare for lockdown restrictions easing.

Owners Malcolm and Karen Simpson have been busy overseeing a number of key projects at The Gailes and this week launched the new Coast Restaurant and Bar.

The inspiration for the hotel restaurant’s rebranding was inspired by the venue’s coastal location and close proximity to the beach.

The restaurant has a strong nautical theme in its design and layout.

The owners along with the team of designers sourced bespoke pieces for the new restaurant from the UK and European suppliers to bring alive their vision of modern dining and excellent

space to simply relax and enjoy great dining

options.

“We are thrilled with how Coast has turned out,” explained Karen Simpson, who prides herself as having a flair for design.

“The period of extended closure during lockdown was the right time for us to change the restaurant. It is something that had been on our minds for a while and we are just delighted it has all come together in time for reopening.”

Next door at the hotel the £1 million Si! Spa – described as Ayrshire’s stylishly seductive new spa and wellness destination includes a thermal suite experience, the first in the area as well as a state-of-the-art gym and fitness studios.

And in the grounds stands a new wedding bandstand for couples.
