A NEW range of free courses are set to start offering people in the Irvine area the chance to learn new skills.

They courses cover a range of skills from computer based to digital photography, literacy and employability skills including how to write your CV and be confident at interviews.

The courses run for six weeks and don’t cost a penny.

There is also a walk’n’talk group who will meet for a chat and some fresh air every Thursday and It’s Good To Talk is for anyone who is struggling with their mental health and would like a friendly catch up.

For anyone who wants to learn computer skills courses range from Word for Beginners to Excel for Beginners and an introduction to Digital Image Manipulation.

And among the courses is Create Your Own Community Newsletter where Irvine Times reporter Lorraine Howard will be sharing some skills for anyone who wants to promote the work of their community group or just fancies having a go at creating some articles, learning some photography skills and interview techniques.

The courses are run by the Irvine Locality Team who help adults learn new skills and to sign up for a course you can use the QR Code on the Irvine Locality Partnership Facebook Page or click on the link from that page.
