A man was arrested in Irvine after officers were called over concerns for the person's welfare.
Officers responded after the man was reported in the Church Street area - with two police vehicles and an ambulance seen parked outside the Rivergate Shopping Centre at around noon today [Tuesday].
Police confirmed the man has since been arrested following the incident - with enquiries ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 11.50am on Tuesday, May 18 police were called to Church Street, Irvine following concern for the behaviour and well-being of a man. He was also reported to have been seen at the Rivergate Centre.
"A man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
"Enquiries are continuing."
