A woman in Kilwinning was left with injuries after she was assaulted whilst within her own car by a stranger and then had items stolen from inside by another perpetrator in a sickening incident.
The brazen robbery and assault occurred in broad daylight on May 12 around 11.30am when the 41-year-old was sitting within her parked car on Montgomerie Terrace in the town.
Another woman, a stranger to the victim reached into the car and assaulted her before another stranger, a man, reached in and grabbed belongings.
DC Robertson of Saltcoats CID said: “This incident occurred in broad daylight and left the victim with minor injuries and understandably upset.
"I would please ask that anyone who may have witnessed the incident, has CCTV or dashcam footage or knows the identity of those responsible to contact Saltcoats Police Office quoting incident 2303 of the 13th.”
