WONDER Woman star Lilly Aspell is set to star in a new explosive Liam Neeson thriller.

The 13-year-old, who hails originally from Springside, shot to fame as young Diana Prince in Wonder Woman and then in the sequel Wonder Woman 1984.

A firm favourite with film fans and comic book lovers around the world, Lilly will play Liam Neeson’s daughter in Retribution.

Lilly will start alongside up and coming Avatar star Jack Champion and Made for Love actress Noma Dumezweni in the thriller.

Neeson plays a banking executive whose life is thrown into turmoil when a bomb is placed inside his car with himself and his family

inside.

And in a strange coincidence, Ayrshire has a strong link for Liam Neeson too as he trained with Springside Boxing Club and Irvine’s Rab Affleck for his film, The Big Man.

The North Ayrshire lass performed her own stunts in the Wonder Woman movies, making the most of her horse riding skills that she first picked up while living with her grandparents in Springside.

Her performance amazed Wonder Woman herself, actress Gal Gadot, who told chat show host Graham Norton: “The stunt co-ordinator came to us and said, ‘she can stunt herself’. .. Anything you see, she is doing, she is amazing.”

Lilly, is hoping to return to Ayrshire this summer to spend time with her grandparents, John and Ailey Rorison, in Kilwinning, where she spends her much of her time riding their horses.
