WHEN the volunteers of Kilwinning Community Events were tasked with deciding on new play equipment for the town’s McGavin Park they decided to throw it open to the public.
The group has spent the last three years transforming the park with an outdoor gym, new picnic benches seen here and introducing new play equipment.
Now, they are considering linking the current play area with a new feature piece and have asked the public to help them decide by voting for their favourite.
The group has posted the two options on its Kilwinning Community Events Facebook page and is asking residents and park visitors to vote for option one or option two.
Option one has a balancing beam and poles that swing from side to side giving youngsters the notion that they are flying.
Option two has a bridge effect with netting where they can walk across or jump up and down on a trampoline or even swing on a hammock.
Both designs are the latest in play equipment from Kompan who provided the current equipment at the busy park.
If you want to have your say visit the group’s Facebook page and vote.
