North Ayrshire Council tenants will be asked to share their thoughts on the service in the coming weeks.

The feedback received during the Tenant Satisfaction Survey will help drive improvements within North Ayrshire Council’s Housing Service.

The last survey, conducted in 2018, showed that 93 per cent of tenants were either satisfied or very satisfied with the council as a landlord – up from 88 per cent in 2016.

The consultation with tenants is being undertaken as part of our ongoing efforts to help improve the service and ensure tenants are directly involved in the decisions which affect their home, their tenancy, and the community they live in.

Previously, the survey was conducted on a face-to-face basis but due to the continued restrictions brought about by COVID-19, the survey will be conducted by telephone and 1,500 telephone surveys

will take place in July and August.

The survey will cover several important issues relating to their home, the service provided and their local neighbourhood.

As well as helping to improve services, it will also gather important feedback about tenants’ satisfaction with various services.

Councillor Jim Montgomerie, Cabinet Member for Green New Deal and Sustainability, said: “We are continually striving to improve the service we offer to our thousands of tenants and the satisfaction survey shows the areas that are working well and the others that need our attention.

“We may not always get everything right but the figures from the last survey show that we are definitely on the right track with 93 per cent of tenants either satisfied or very satisfied with the Council as a landlord.

“Since our last survey was carried out, a number of improvements were put in place across a wide range of Housing Services, and we look forward to getting tenants’ thoughts on how our services should continue to evolve to meet their needs.”
