A teenage girl is missing from Lanark who has been known to frequent Irvine and other Ayrshire towns.

Kerys Lynch, 13, went missing from the Hyndford Area in Lanark last night, with her family growing increasingly concerned for her whereabouts.

Kerys was last seen at around 5.30pm on July 12, at the A70 near to Hyndford Road, Lanark.

She is described as being a white female, slim/medium build, she has died red/black hair with blonde roots. She was last seen wearing a Khaki green over sized T-shirt and light grey leggings.

The teenager has been known to visit Irvine, as well as surrounding towns and villages.

Police Sergeant Durie from Lanark Police station said: "Kerys has been missing for a number of hours now. We have a number of Police resources out looking for her and I am now looking for assistance from the public".
