A man and woman have appeared in court to face charges after they were arrested for alleged involvement in a serious assault in Stevenston.
Today we reported how a 25-year-old man has been left in a serious condition in hospital after being assaulted in McGregor Avenue in the town on Monday, July 19.
Aimee Lawson, 29, of North Ayrshire, appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court and was charged with allegedly carrying a bladed weapon in public, attacking or impeding police and threatening or abusive behaviour.
She entered no plea and was released on bail to appear in court at a later date.
Christopher Chalmers, 33, of Irvine also appeared in court and was charged with assault to severe injury and danger of life and carrying an offensive weapon in public.
He entered no plea and was released on bail to appear in court at a later date.
