A VET issued a warning to dog owners to keep their pets away from Irvine Beach on Tuesday night after they had been inundated with poorly pets.
Valley Veterinary Group issued a warning on Facebook asking owners to avoid the beach.
The vet practice said they had "multiple cases" of sick dogs arrive for treatment.
The dogs had symptoms of vomiting, diarrhoea and a general sense of being lethargic.
One patient was Suzanne Park who had to take her dog Theo to the vet after he became unwell.
Fortunately, Theo received treament and made a full recovery.
There is concern that the illnesses could be due to the high number of jelly fish found at the beach and the high levels of blue algae found at the boating pond.
