A man has been left fighting for his life after a crash on the A78 this morning.
The A78 between the Eglinton interchange and Warrix interchange to remain closed for "some time" as a result.
Emergency services arrived on the scene earlier this morning.
The road was closed with diversions in place via the B7080, B736, and A71.

Sergeant Craig Beaver said: “Enquiries are ongoing in to the cause of the crash and we are appealing for anyone with any information to get in touch. I would ask anyone who was in the area at the time to review dashcam footage and get in touch.
“We anticipate the road will be closed for some time and we would ask motorists to avoid the area if possible.”
