SUNDERLAND midfielder Elliot Embleton has won the Sky Bet League One Goal of the Month award for August.
Embleton received his nomination for his goal in the Black Cats' 3-1 home win over Wycombe at the end of last month.
The midfielder played a one-two with Lynden Gooch before curling a fine strike into the bottom corner from the edge of the 18-yard box.

The other two shortlisted goals that were a long-range strike from Rotherham United's Michael Smith and an overhead kick from Shrewsbury Town's Tom Bloxham.
The midfielder has been an integral part of Lee Johnson's side this season and is expected to feature in tomorrow's League One clash at home to Bolton Wanderers.
