Two men in their 20s have been arrested after allegedly shouting sexual abuse at a woman in the street.

At around 9.10am on Tuesday, September 28, the men allegedly shouted abuse of a sexual nature at the woman on Woodlands Avenue in Irvine.

The pair, aged 24 and 26, have been arrested in connection with the incident however enquiries remain ongoing.

Detective Inspector Stephen McCulloch, of Saltcoats CID, said: "We're appealing to anyone who witnessed this or has any related information about the incident to report it."
