Irvine Victoria have been thrown out of the Scottish Junior Cup after unpleasant scenes led to their second round tie against Pollok being abandoned.

Pollock have also been kicked from the cup.

An investigation was launched after a large fight appreared to break out towards the end of match on September 25.

The investigation has led to both teams being disqualified from this year's tournament.

At the time, Vics manager, Dougie MacDuff called the scenes "unacceptable".

MacDuff said: “The things that followed were not acceptable and I am not condoning it on our side.

“I spoke to the Pollok manager Murdo MacKinnon and he agrees it was not acceptable from their side either.

“We will just need to see what happens with the football authorities now.”

Irvine Vics or Pollok had been drawn away to Rossvale in the next round of the cup.

The East Dunbartonshire side will now get a bye into the next round.
