Roadworks will see closures on the A78 between Pennyburn Roundabout and Eglinton Interchange between 8pm-6am starting from tonight [Monday, November 1] for ten nights.
From Monday, November 1 until Friday, November 5, there will be a total closure of the A78 Northbound road from Eglinton NB off-slip and Pennyburn Roundabout.
Diverted traffic will use the A737 and A738.
From Saturday, November 6 until Monday, November 8, there will be a total closure of the A78 Northbound carriageway between Warrix and Eglinton Northbound on-slip.
Diverted traffic will use the A71 and Long Drive A78.
From Tuesday, November 9 until Thursday, November 11, there will be a total closure of the A78 Southbound road between Eglinton Southbound off-slip and Warrix.
Diverted traffic will use Long Drive/A71.
Transport Scotland said that the works will increase road safety, improve the condition of the carriageway and reduce the need for more extensive maintenance in the future.
