Bin strikes in Glasgow are ongoing amid COP26 as workers strike for better pay.

Rubbish around the city is overflowing, but there are still some places you can empty your bins.

As we head into the second week of strike action, here's where you can empty your bins today.

Where can I empty my bins today?

You can take your bins to Shieldhall Household Waste Recycling Centre in the south west of the city or Easter Queenslie Household Waste Recycling Centre in Glasgow's east end.

These are the only two recycling centres operating in the city today, open from 8am-6pm, with last entry at 5:45pm.

These openings are subject to change, so Glasgow City Council advises people to keep up to date on its website, which will be updated as more centres become available.

When will my brown bin be collected?

Brown bins which hold food and garden waste will not be collected until November 23 due to the industrial action.

Glasgow City Council is therefore asking residents not to present their brown bins until this date.

The same goes for bulky waste collection, which will not take place until November 23.

When will the bin strikes ends?

According to Glasgow City Council, they have not yet been given information on how long they intend the industrial action to last.

The council's website asks people not to present bins as normal on collection day for this reason.
