Christmas has come early at Irvine’s award-winning national maritime museum with a 50 per cent winter discount on tickets bought online.

As well as the limited period half price admission for adults and concessions, the museum offers free entry for up to three children with each adult throughout the year.

The discount on tickets up to a total value of £40 runs until February 18 and is part of the VisitScotland Days Out Campaign and £25million Tourism Recovery Programme announced by the First Minister in March 2021.

Christopher Woodland, Commercial Manager at the Scottish Maritime Museum, said: “With admission now as fantastic value as £4.25 for an adult and up to three children or £3.25 for a concession with three children, there’s never been a better time to enjoy Scotland’s national maritime heritage collection”

Visitors can enjoy the current Glass Ships in Bottles and Ocean Posters Against Plastic Pollution exhibitions. An exhibition of maritime inspired glass art opens on November 28.
