Star writers at Irvine Royal win John Galt awards at the school
Young Irvine literary legends have been praised for their short stories as well as reading aloud in class.
Irvine Royal pupils Laurie Clarkson and Bobby Meek were winners for the school’s first John Galt Story Awards.
A spokesperson said: “Congratulations to the fearless students who read their stories aloud during the book launch for ‘Shadow Over the 5 Towns’.
“Also, a huge well done to the first John Galt Short Story Award winners, Laurie Clarkson (2C2) and Bobby Meek (4A2).”
