Ayrshire could be set for a heavy coat of snow tomorrow, the Met Office has warned.
The potentially wintry weather has been labelled with a yellow warning.
The Met Office warn: "Heavy snow is expected across northern England and Scotland bringing likely travel disruption, especially over higher routes."
The warning comes into force from 11am tomorrow and lasts until midnight.
They say people living in areas covered by the warning, which include lots of East and South Ayrshire towns and villages as well as large swathes of the rest of the country, should prepare for possible travel delays on roads with the potential for motorists to become stranded.
They also warn of possible delays or cancellations to rail and air travel and that rural communities could become cut off.
