Workers from Network Rail Scotland have completed repairs on a damaged overhead line structure between Kilwinning and Ardrossan.

A photo showed the massive damage caused by Storm Dudley, where trees had fallen on top of the gantry and onto the rail line below, causing cancellatioins and delays to rail services.

And a new video details the work that Network Rail staff have done to get services moving again:

All Ayrshire ScotRail services were cancelled this morning because of the storm, Network Rail Scotland inspected more than 1,500 miles of track over the past 10 hours and have fixed most issues, with train services expected to return between Glasgow and Ayr at 12pm today.
