North Ayrshire Council are soon to be advertising 50 modern apprenticeship vacancies, targeted at those leaving schools across the county.
Recruitment is aimed at those aged 16 to 19 and living in North Ayrshire and looks to provide them with the opportunity to learn key skills through work and training to kick-start their career.
The vacancies go live on the MyJobScotland website from the beginning of May. Once live, applicants will be able to apply online on the website here: www.myjobscotland.gov.uk/councils/north-ayrshire-council
Caitriona McAuley, Head of Service (Economic Development & Regeneration) at North Ayrshire Council said: “We understand that with the cancellation of exams and previous school closures, young people will no doubt be worried about the future and so we want to make clear our ongoing commitment to creating opportunities for our young people throughout North Ayrshire.”
Almost 250 modern apprentices have been added to the council’s workforce in the last four years, as a result of this programme.
