A KIND-HEARTED Kilwinning man has thanked residents for their amazing donations after handing over the goods to Crosshouse children’s ward.

Michael Kirkum said: “Thanks to all those that made this possible. Without people donating this would not be possible.

“I’m humbled by the response I receive every year – nine years and still going strong even through a pandemic. You gave absolutely amazing help.”

Other benefactors of this year’s collection include Castlepark Early Years, Trinity Church, Abbey Primary and the Pennyburn local shop.

There will also be an Easter egg hunt taking place in Cranberry Head.

Mr Kirkum added : “Altogether 1,400 Easter eggs, 548 Creme Eggs, 30 Easter bunnies and over 100 activity books and crayons donated – best year to date. Over £3,700 in money value so between Christmas and Easter you have donated nearly £8,000.

“I think that’s great – even more so when people are struggling to pay their way so I really appreciate the support I receive.”
