FITNESS groups Fit Ayrshire Dads and Fit Ayrshire Masses have raised an incredible £2,400 to help the people of Ukraine.
Both groups took part in a #RunforUkraine even which saw 160 participants run a 10k trail through Eglinton Country Park grounds on Sunday, April 10.
Founder of the fitness groups, Kevin Brown, said: “The event was a smashing success. It went down really well and we had a brilliant turnout. There was such a great, family vibe to it all.”
As well as a 10k race for adults, which had an entry fee of £13, there was a free race for children too, with participants from both categories receiving a Ukraine-themed medal and delicious home-baking for their efforts.
All the proceeds from the day will be donated to Lewisham Polish Centre – a charity who are on the front line helping to deal with the migration crisis as people flee the war-torn country.
