IRVINE native Erin Cuthbert continued her remarkable career trajectory on Sunday as she was a part of the Chelsea side that won the Women’s Super League.
The Scottish international picked up her third championship in a row with the London club, who have become the dominant team in the English women’s game over the last few years.
The title race went to the last day, with both Chelsea and Arsenal fighting it out for the trophy.
Things were looking ropey for Cuthbert’s side early on when Manchester United went 1-0 up.
With the Gunners also beating West Ham, a big performance was needed from the Scot and her team to get across the line.
They did precisely that as they ran out 4-2 winners in the end, with Cuthbert scoring a vital goal early on.
