Irvine running club story
Steve Daye and Michael Rimmicans represented Irvine Running Club at ‘night of the 10K’, organised jointly by the British Milers Club (BMC) and Glasgow Athletics Association (GAA).
The BMC is the premier middle-distance athletics club in the country and organises races all over the UK.
The event, which took place on Sunday, May 1, in Glasgow, saw four races with runners graded on their current form.
Both men entered the ‘B’ event after performing well recently.
Fifteen runners were on the start line, and it was a close race between the two club members, with Steve finishing fifth with a time of 32 minutes and 48 seconds and Michael a place behind with time of 32 minutes and 50 seconds.
