A SEX offender who was stung in Irvine attempting to meet a teenager allegedly failed to tell police of a new name.
Barrie Tidswell, 41, faces a charge of breaching sections of the Sexual Offences Act 2003 between October 20 and November 4 in 2020 following his previous conviction.
It’s alleged Tidswell failed without reasonable excuse to attend Irvine Police station, Kilwinning Road, to inform cops of another name he had been using within three days of the change.
Tidswell’s case was continued without plea when it called in Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week [Thursday, May 5]. Tidswell, whose address is now listed as Beith, was ordained to appear in court at a later date.
