Health bosses in Ayrshire and Arran are asking members of the public to continue wearing masks in any healthcare setting - even though it’s no longer a legal requirement.
The plea from NHS Ayrshire and Arran covers hospitals, GP surgeries, and care homes in the area.
Joanne Edwards, the health board’s director of acute services, said: “Even though the guidance around face masks has changed across Scotland, you will still need to wear a face mask when on our premises, so we can keep patients and our staff safe.”
