The Ayrshire Motor Show is returning for only its second ever edition, following Covid cancellations in the past two years.

Taking place at the Ayr Racecourse later this month, the show will feature a range of old school vehicles and modern modified motors, a stunt show, and children’s entertainment.

Run by Andrew and Katrina Wilson, the event, on Saturday, May 28 from 1-5pm, comes after the inaugural Ayrshire Motor Show was held three years ago.

The couple also run the Dumfries Motor show and organise car boot sales when not planning for the motor shows.

Mr Wilson said: “We’re looking forward to having a show after lockdowns.”

At this year’s motor show there will be 13 trophies available for the vehicles in categories including: crowd favourite; best custom; best custom vehicle lighting; best van; best engine bay; best wheels; best classic; best club; organiser’s award; car of the show; best bike; show & shine 1999; and show & shine 2000.

Entry is £10 on the day with under 14s free.
