An Irvine football ground was broken into last night with keys stolen from the community club.
The thief reportedly broke into the grounds before taking a set of keys for other lock ups and machinery owned by Irvine Meadow FC.
Police told the Times enquiries are ongoing after the break-in theft at Meadow Park yesterday [Saturday, May 21] after the incident was reported to cops today.
A statement from the club's Medda Minded page said: "Someone broke into Meadow Park yesterday. They’ve managed to get into a shed and stole all the keys to other lock ups and machinery used for the park.
"If anyone hears of anything or finds a load of keys let the committee know please. The police have been informed.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers have been made aware of a break-in at a premises on James Crescent, Irvine.
"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances."
