As part of the 40th anniversary since the beginning of the Falklands war in the South Atlantic, where the ‘wreath of respect’ was laid, the Airborne Forces Riders undertook the challenging task to visit every UK grave and remembrance site of those who lost their life in the conflict.
On Thursday, May 5, this brought them to Knadgerhill Cemetery in Irvine where the local RBLS branch joined them in paying respects to the two fallen soldiers buried there.
Scots Guardsmen, David Malcolmson and James Reynolds DCM, died while carrying injured comrades to safety.
