A KILWINNING man will go on trial in July charged with throwing a pram at his partner and sending her an abusive voice message.

Calvin Kemp, of Waterside Road, faces three charges and pleaded not guilty to each of them at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week.

He is accused of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner towards the woman at a property in Glen Banks Road, Saltcoats on April 24, when he allegedly acted in an aggressive manner, repeatedly shouted and swore, struck the front door, rang the doorbell and demanded that the woman came to the door.

The alleged offence was aggravated by involving his partner or ex partner.

He is then said to have assaulted the woman by throwing a pram causing it to strike her on the body.

The third charge claims he sent a voice message to her that was grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character, in that it contained abusive language and threats of violence.

Kemp, 25, pleaded not guilty to the charges and a trial date was set for July 25.

His bail was continued meantime, with the condition that he does not contact or communicate with the woman or enter Glen Banks Road.
