AN Irvine hotel has picked up a gong at Scotland's biggest hotel awards ceremony.
The Gailes Hotel and Spa saw off some of Scotland's most popular hotels - including Cameron House Hotel, Gleddoch Hotel Spa & Golf and Trump Turnberry - to win the Best Spa and Leisure Category at this year's award ceremony that took place in Glasgow on May 29 at the Crowne Plaza.
The Irvine business is part of the family-owned SimpsInns group which also looks after hotels in Troon and West Kilbride.
Commenting on the award, a Gailes spokesperson said: "Thanks to everyone who voted for us."
