Firefighters attended a fire last night in Irvine.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue service said crew attended a rubbish fire within a builder’s yard on an industrial estate in the town on Tuesday night.

A Police Scotland spokesperson told the Times: “We were called around 7.45pm on Tuesday, 7 June, to a report of a fire at a building site on Crompton Way, North Newmoor, Irvine.

"The fire was put out by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and no one was injured. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
