THE first episodes in the brand new series of the council’s live streaming service failed to be broadcast or recorded.
The first council telly online broadcasts covering cabinet, the planning committee and the local review body were unable to go ahead as planned last week after the administration’s return to in-person meetings.
However, North Ayrshire Council said minutes will be available after setting up its live streaming service back in 2017 prior to the pandemic.
A North Ayrshire Council spokesperson said: “Unfortunately, due to a technical issue with the audio, it was not possible to webcast the cabinet meeting of Tuesday, June 7, or the planning committee and local review body meetings on June 8.
“Minutes are, however, published on the council’s website as soon as possible after meetings.
“Steps are being taken to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
“In the meantime, meetings which are scheduled to be held on a wholly remote basis will continue to be live-streamed and a public gallery will be available in the council chambers in the event of any physical meetings requiring to take place.”
