Irvine Meadow's 125th anniversary will be celebrated at a special friendly match and fun day this weekend.

Medda's landmark year will be marked by a friendly match at Meadow Park this Saturday, July 23 against a Dumbarton side who are also celebrating a significant year - in their case 150 years since the formation of the club.

Saturday's match kicks off at 12.30pm - but the day is about more than just the 90 minutes, with plenty more celebratory fun being put together for the occasion.

A special match programme has been designed for the game, which will cost £2.50, and will no doubt be one for the collectors out there.

Events for children will get under way at the ground at 11am, including an inflatable dartboard, archery, football tennis, small sided football games and a crossbar challenge, with all children receiving a goody bag afterwards.

The social club at Meadow Park will be open from 11.30am and will remain open until 6pm. The pie shop at the ground will also be open throughout.

Match/event entry is priced at £5 for adults and £3 for concessions, with children entering for free when accompanied by an adult.
