The Red Arrows are due to make an appearance at Prestwick Airport today.

The famous aerobatics display team will arrive at around 4pm today (July 22), ahead of their display at the Making Waves Festival in Irvine on Saturday.

The first-ever ‘Making Waves’ festival will take place at Irvine's beach park on Saturday, July 23 and continue on Sunday, July 24.

To accommodate spectators wishing to see these incredible aircraft, Glasgow Prestwick Airport will open an area near 'the mound' that is located off Shaw Farm Road (map below) for parking.

This area will be open from 9am until 9pm, Friday, July 22 and 9am until 4pm, Saturday, July 23.

Parking in this area is at your own risk and vehicles cannot park in this area outwith the above times.

Those attending are being asked not to park on main roads or residential areas, as vehicles will be moved on.
