A VIDEO of the oldest paddle steamer in the world heading along the Ayrshire coast is making waves online having been viewed thousands of times already.
The Waverley, which is the world's last seagoing paddle steamer and is named after Sir Walter Scott's novels, is seen in the video making its way down the coastline towards Ayr before taking off towards Girvan and Ailsa Craig.
The famous boat has been offering public cruises around the iconic island Ailsa Craig, which houses huge numbers of gannets and an increasing number of puffins.
Waverley Excursions said this is the first time the cruise has been successfully done in five years.
