A SEX offender returned to court from custody for allegedly breaking his strict supervision orders by having a phone without informing cops and deleting a call.

William Donohoe, 23, faces a charge of allegedly breaching his strict sexual offences prevention order last week by having the device without permission.

His restrictions also prevent him deleting his internet browsing history, emails, calls and texts.

The offender was previously placed on the order on February 2 last year.

Court papers state Donohoe is accused of deleting the record of a phone call to another man named on the complaint between August 3 and August 4 this month at his then address at Ninians Terrace, Kilwinning.

It’s allegedm he made and deleted the call without reasonable excuse or the knowledge of police.

It’s alleged Donohoe committed the offence having been granted bail on June 1 and then July 28 this year.

Donohoe, who was represented by solicitor Peter Murray, pleaded not guilty to the charge when he returned to Kilmarnock Sheriff Court after his arrest last week [Friday, August 5].

Bail was granted and Donohoe, now of McGregor Avenue, Stevenston, will return to court at a later date.
