A TOUGH week got a whole lot worse for Kilwinning Rangers this Saturday, August 6, as they fell to a defeat at home to Troon FC.

The home side twice led in the match but eventually succumbed to the loss as Dale Moore slammed home the winner to make it 3-2 in the second half.

The loss adds to the Buffs misery, after they received a notice of complaint from the WoSFL earlier in the week for fielding an ineligible player against Irvine Meadow.

Summer signing Kevin Nicoll featured in the game for the Buffs, with Irvine Meadow’s co-boss even stating he dictated the midfield.

However, the former Clyde man had seen red in his last game for the Glasgow-based side, therefore should have been suspended for their opening fixture.

The league were alerted of this, and the Buffs issued with a notice of complaint. Both Irvine Meadow and Kilwinning Rangers are awaiting a final decision on the matter.

Typically, decisions makers would rule in this instace Kilwinning should be deducted three points, and face a fine of £100.
