Irvine, Kilwinning and Stewarton's GP surgeries have been ranked in a list of best to worst in Scotland.

The information ranked the surgeries out of the 889 in Scotland.

They were all also ranked on a number of factors, including percentage of people who rate care at the surgery as excellent or good, and the percentage of people who agreed that staff helped them feel in control of their treatment.

And the results for the local area make for interesting reading, with a majority falling right into thee middle of the pack across the nation.

While only two surgeries cracked the top 50 per cent in Scotland, no surgeries in the area fell into even the bottom 250 places.

Below is how the area's surgeries ranked in each category, according to information compiled by the Reach Data Unit from information published by Public Health Scotland, with the Scottish average signalled in brackets.
