AN IRVINE man was jailed for four months after being found guilty of violently attacking his partner.
Jordan McIlwraith faced three charges including assaulting the woman at a property in Kilmarnock on May 9 this year.
The 29-year-old seized the woman by her throat, repeatedly held her against a wall, pulled her by the clothing across a room and headbutted her to the head during the brutal attack.
He also seized her by the body and refused to let her leave, to her injury.
A second charge stated he behaved in a threatening or abusive manner by shouting and swearing at the woman.
He also resisted, obstructed or hindered three police officers in the execution of their duty by struggling and resisting arrest.
McIlwraith was found guilty of all three charges at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week and sentenced to four months in prison.
