AN IRVINE woman admitted kicking a cop and refusing to drop a knife she was holding when told to by police.

Audrey Hepburn, 49, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner and assaulting a police officer in the line of duty at her then address in Alexandra Terrace, Kilwinning on May 31 this year.

Hepburn, now of Braehead, Girdle Toll, admitted adopting an aggressive manner and refusing to drop a knife she was holding when requested to by cops.

She also pleaded guilty to assaulting a male Police Scotland officer by repeatedly kicking him on the body.

A not guilty plea to a third charge of attempting to resist arrest was accepted by prosecutors.

Sentencing was deferred for reports and she will return at a later date.
