NORTH Ayrshire police have shared images online of a ridiculous bald tyre spotted on local roads today.
Local officers carried out 23 vehicle checks on the road today, leading to a number of charges.
They noted five speeding offences, one seatbelt offence, one lighting offence and one mobile phone offence.
Though one of the most chilling offences of all of those handed out was the tyre offence pictured above.
The tyre clearly falls way below the minimum 1.6mm tread depth required by law, with barely any tread still visible on the tyre at all.
Police Scotland are remind all road users to remain on top of vehicle safety, particularly as we are heading into the cold winter months.
