A MAN from the Lawthorn area of Irvine has been arrested and charged in relation to 16 offences.
These include fraud, attemped fraud and theft related criminality.
The 38-year-old male was traced by North Ayrshire's proactive policing team following extensive enquiries.
He was found in the area of Irvine yesterday, November 8, and was held in custody overnight before he is due to appear in Kilmarnock Sheriff Court today.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Communities in Ayrshire told us they were concerned about recent acquisitive criminality in the area.
"Following extensive enquiries, North Ayrshire's Proactive Policing Team traced a suspect in the Lawthorn area of Irvine on Tuesday, 8 November 2022.
"The 38-year-old male was arrested and later charged with 16 offences - including fraud, attempt fraud and theft-related criminality.
"He was held in custody overnight to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court today."
