PUPILS from Irvine Royal Academy have brought home two prizes after reaching the national semi-finals of a competition introducing young people to Scotland’s courts and legal system.
The Irvine Royal pupils won the awards for the best defence solicitor and best defence witness for the West Region – and attended the national awards ceremony at the Signet Library in Edinburgh last week after reaching the competition’s semi-finals.
A spokesperson for the school’s social studies and RME department took to Twitter to say: “So proud of our young people for making it to the semi-finals in our first year of competition.”
