Pupils across North Ayrshire did their schools proud last week as the annual celebration of Scottish country dancing made a welcome return.

Schools from Irvine, Kilwinning and the Three Towns descended on the Portal Leisure Centre last week for the annual North Ayrshire Day of Dancing event.

Dreghorn Primary P5 teacher Jacqueline Marturano said: “We had 21 pupils there on the day.
“They had a ball and were raving about it when it was over. They enjoyed it so much that they were asking if they could go again.

“The school would like to thank Mr and Mrs Holmes for organising what was a fantastic day. They were great with the kids.”
