Opportunities for a Covid-19 booster and seasonal flu vaccine are available at drop-in sessions across Ayrshire over the next week.
The run up to Christmas can be a busy time of year but NHS Ayrshire & Arran are making it as easy as possible to get your winter vaccinations this December.
If you are due your COVID-19 booster and seasonal flu vaccine you can get it without an appointment at a local drop-in clinic.
The following groups are welcome to attend:
- everyone over 50 years of age
- people age 16 years and over who are in an at risk category for coronavirus
- health and social care workers
- pregnant women
- unpaid carers
Drop-in vaccine clinics will be running in Ayrshire at the venues and times stated below:
Saturday, December 3
- Galleon Leisure Centre, Kilmarnock, 10.30am – 7pm
Sunday, December 4
- Galleon Leisure Centre, Kilmarnock, 12.30pm – 7pm
- Girvan Community Hospital, 10.30am – 7pm
- Largs Academy, 10.30am – 7pm
Monday, December 5
- Ardrossan Civic Centre, 8.30am – 7pm
- Auchinleck Boswell Centre, 8.30am – 7pm
Tuesday, December 6
- Ardrossan Civic Centre, 8.30am – 7pm
- Auchinleck Boswell Centre, 8.30am – 7pm
- Glasgow Prestwick Airport, 8.30am to 7pm (main terminal building, free parking available for those attending vaccine clinic in Car Park 1 and Car Park 2)

NHS Ayrshire & Arran’s Assistant Director of Public Health, Lisa Davidson said: “If you prefer, you can also book a slot, as we have plenty bookable capacity at our local vaccine clinics.
"Call the helpline on 0800 030 8013 or visit the booking portal on the NHS Inform website to get a date in the diary to protect yourself against coronavirus and seasonal flu.”
