TWO men were arrested over the weekend after police recovered class A drugs worth more than £10,000 from a house in Kilwinning.

Officers raided a property in Almswall Road in the early hours of Saturday morning (December 3).

Drugs with an estimated street value of more than £10,000, plus more than £6,000 in cash, were seized.

Two men, aged 18 and 27, have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident. They are due to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court this week.

Detective Sergeant Andrea Templeton said: “This operation demonstrates our ongoing commitment to clearing our communities of drugs and the harm they cause in society.
