POLICE have launched investigations after two cars of the same make and model were reported stolen in Kilwinning within three days.
We contacted Police Scotland after seeing reports from the area of two separate incidents alleging car theft.
The first related to a red Ford Fiesta ST being taken on Monday, January 9.
Then today (Wednesday, January 11), there were similar reports that a blue Ford Fiesta ST had been taken from a Kilwinning home in the early hours of the morning.
Police have now confirmed that two investigations have been launched following reports of these thefts.
Officers say they have received reports that a vehicle was stolen from Longbow Place, in the town's new Taylor Wimpey housing development, on January 11.
The January 9 report referred to the theft of a car from Sundrum Place in the Pennyburn area.
Police say enquiries are ongoing into both incidents.
There is currently no information to suggest that the two thefts are linked.
