In the aftermath of Christmas and Hogmanay, it can be easy to forget that Burns Night is only a week away.

The Bistro – Ayr

With an ultra-exclusive menu not only just available on the night, but only between 5-9pm, a dinner at The Bistro is not one to be missed.

Menu highlights include pheasant Balmoral, stalkers stew, and haggis, neeps and tattie samosas.

The three-course meal with shortbread or a hot drink will cost £45 per person with a £10 non-refundable deposit required when booking.

Ayrshire Hospice's Burns Night at Brig o’ Doon House Hotel - Ayr

This Burns Supper will certainly be an event with a four-course meal, tea, coffee and sweet dainties, and entertainment planned throughout the evening.

Several fundraising events will also take place throughout the night such as a raffle, games, and an online silent auction.

Festivities are set to start at 6.15pm on Friday January 27 and will end at 12am.

Tickets cost £80 with funds from sales going towards the hospice.

The Thistle Inn – Cumnock

This traditional night celebrates the Bard in true Scottish style with haggis, neeps, and tatties on the menu and piping in the haggis.

Vegetarians can also enjoy a traditional meal as the pub is offering veggie haggis, neeps, and tatties.

Tickets cost £25 per person with a £10 per person cash deposit and can be booked in person or by calling the pub on 01290 451030.

The Book Nook – Stewarton

Do you fancy something different – and maybe a wee bit quieter? In that case, Stewarton’s The Book Nook is hosting their Burns Night on Friday January 27 at 7pm.

Literature lovers can enjoy readings of the Bard’s iconic poems read by Burns author Gerry Brannigan.

Scottish inspired nibbles by chef Chris Bryden and snacks and a complimentary dram will also be available to enjoy.

Tickets cost just £8 and are available at the door.

Harbour Lights – Irvine

This staple Irvine restaurant is letting residents enjoy Burns Night on their schedule, offering their Burns menu between January 25 and January 29.

The menu boasts a variety of Scottish dishes from homemade Cullen skink soup to Scottish smoked salmon – ideal for those wanting to embrace traditional food but not willing to try haggis.

With two courses for £21.95 and three courses for £26.95, tables can be booked by calling 01294 312464.

The Corner House – Kilwinning

The Corner House’s Burns Night Quiz is perfect for those prioritising a dram over a haggis this year.

The pub’s first quiz of the year will have a variety of Scottish themed questions and is set for Burns Night at 8pm.
